About us

Rain-fed agriculture has traditionally been the core of livelihoods for poor families in rural Jharkhand, supplemented in varying degrees by small livestock rearing, handicrafts, wages and hunting and gathering. Improving agricultural productivity and more generally the productivity of primary rural resources is, therefore, essential to enhance rural livelihoods. Agriculture, however, has inherent limits as a livelihood for land-less people and marginal farmers.

“There is no better joy than the joy of giving to the society. I feel proud when I see the happy faces of those marginalized women, who are seeing a hope of change in their lives & as my work is indirectly impacting livelihood of so many people. Also there has been always the satisfaction of working independently & authority of decision-making”

“I perhaps met with some of the most socio - economically disadvantaged people in my life. They have been living in mud houses from the time immemorial. But I could feel the wind of change in their life. Once neglected by both govt. and society, they are now self dependent. They are not waiting for an opportunity, but creating it for themselves.
Organization is led by very experienced pool of leaders. Their efforts are now paying off. Number of members is increasing, so does the production capacity and business. Modern ethos and technologies are being brought into the fold which ultimately contributes to core competency.”
